## Common questions

### A charger in my plan wasn't working, or was busy

Charger details come from OpenStreetMap and Open Charge Map, which volunteers keep up to date, so each charger shows when its details were last updated. With Premium, the trip checks live availability at your stops through Google Maps, for networks that share it (Tesla and NRMA don't yet; a connected Tesla shows its own Superchargers' stalls), and plans around a charger that's out of service. Check a stop before you rely on it, especially one marked "No plan B". On the trip, tap the stop and then Swap charger, or remove it, and the trip is planned again.

### My car used more (or less) energy than planned

Set your battery health and range in Settings › Vehicle & battery. With Premium, record how a trip went in Trips, and plans adjust to how your car really drives.

Weather makes a big difference: a 30 km/h headwind on the highway can use about a third more energy, and a cold morning about a tenth more. With Premium, plans count the forecast's temperature, wind and rain along the way (Settings › Plan with the weather forecast), and the trip shows the weather at your stops and when you arrive. Forecasts are from MET Norway and can be wrong, so keep some charge in hand.

### Premium: cancelling, refunds and restoring

- Cancel or change a subscription in the app (Settings › Manage subscription) or in your Apple Account settings, at least 24 hours before it renews.
- Apple handles payments and refunds: request one in the app (Settings › Request a refund) or at [reportaproblem.apple.com](https://reportaproblem.apple.com).
- On a new iPhone, or after reinstalling, tap Restore purchases in Settings › Premium.

### Charging costs

They're estimates: networks price each site differently, and some by the time of day. Set what you usually pay in Settings › Charging prices. The network's app shows the real price before you charge.

### Tesla

Connecting a Tesla is optional. To disconnect, sign out of Tesla in the app's Settings, remove Charge Line's key from the car's **Locks** screen, and revoke its access in your Tesla account's security settings.

### Your data

Your car, trips, Home and Work and recent searches stay on your iPhone. See the [privacy policy](/privacy) for what is sent to other services, and how to remove it.

### Where the charger data comes from

Charge Line's list of Australia's chargers, and the cafés, food, toilets, playgrounds and shops near them, is built each day from [OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright) (© OpenStreetMap contributors) and [Open Charge Map](https://openchargemap.org) (Open Charge Map contributors and the data providers named on each charger). Where no source gives a charger's power, it's the network's typical figure, marked as an estimate. Photos of chargers, and check-ins (when someone last charged, or couldn't), are from Open Charge Map's contributors, each photo credited to its author; opening hours and ways to pay are from OpenStreetMap. "Photos on Google Maps" opens Google Maps on the charger.

"Charged here?" on a charger sends an anonymous report: whether charging worked, and if you like, the price per kWh you paid, how you paid or what went wrong. Other drivers then see when someone last charged there, what drivers paid and how. Reports are Charge Line's own and aren't in the download below. If a report or any of a charger's information is wrong, use "Tell us" on the charger, or email us.

Anyone may download the list and use it under the [Open Database License (ODbL)](https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/); the Open Charge Map data in it is also under [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) or its provider's own licence.
